Thanks. I'm going with all black hardware on it. I have most of the pieces in place. I need to get a black floyd yet.

Mine will have all black as well, and I have most of the parts. Tuners, strap buttons and pickups are all that's left to get, best I recall. No trem spring cover, but I don't think it ever had one (no screw holes). I made a control cavity cover.

I think I've found the shade of orange that's as close to "proper" as I can locate around here. Got a new spray gun today, and I'm going to do a test panel tomorrow (or as soon as I can).

The body is resurrected, and just needs prep-sanding for primer.

Still need a neckplate, and to make a decision on pickups. I want to go with some that are "period-correct", but then again I've seen references to rail HBs being a good choice for slanted configuration.

So many projects, so little time.

If I decide to go with a set of rails, I might look closer at these.

Looks great! Fire sale PC1? Some of those, if not all, required 24 fret necks. I see yours is the same. Nice!

Thanks. Yes. Fire sale body. I picked it up for about $150 (I think on fb marketplace).

....I think I've found the proper shade of orange, or as near to it as I can tell by matching it against that photo.

Still have to prime the body and then a coat of satin white before the color coats.

Body repaired, de-glossed the factory colorcoat, and got the first coat of primer today. Might be a couple of days before I can work on it again.

While de-glossing the body, when it was all basically a satin finish, it seemed to almost glow a more vibrant shade of orange. I might.....might.....see how the test panel looks with a satin clearcoat. Keep the glow, protect the paint.

If it was painted in NJ, it was most likely a House of Kolor shade like this honey neon orange.

Show it to George. If anybody would know, it's him.
