That looks pretty nice actually, a little wear on the fret faces for sure but good shape, no missing or damaged parts, original case plus it's an oil finished neck, not the usual beak lacquer. I personally like the lacquer but theoretically that oil is the more desirable neck. And honestly - not a ridiculous BIN price these days for a graphic in good shape.

That does look pretty good. I was even tempted to hit that BIN, but then I saw that the seller wrote the guitar will need to be refretted. (Which may or may not be true..). In my experience, a full refret isn't so common unless someone really played the shit out of this guitar for the last 40 years... Otherwise, I fully agree--a nice one and the neck would clean up with some 000 steel wool.

I bought that Black Baretta that said it needed a refret and I was pleasantly surprised. It'll need it sooner rather than later but it's still completely playable with low action and no dead spots as is so I'll just keep going for a bit on it.

On the other hand, I've bought guitars that were described as having good frets with plenty of life and I find a huge dent or nick that requires an immediate partial refret right off the bat.

Hard to tell without it in your hands really.. but for the person that was specifically looking for a Spider, I would've snagged this one and dealt with the frets later. It's not like Spiders are popping up for sale all the time so you're kind of at the mercy of the market/seller.

I really didn't expect to still see it listed to be completely honest. I would seriously consider rolling the dice on it but I just pulled the trigger on yet another amp and really can't be spending $2k a week on guitars lol. (I got an Orange AD30... very cool sounding so far)

It's kind of amazing that the beak Pacer is still listed on the 'bay. A few theories:

- The earlier period of Kramer is beloved by diehards like us, but the later / pointy period is the one more guitarists seek out.
- Rockinger. I wonder if changing this guitar to a Floyd would be too sacrilegious.. Maybe keep that locking nut and only drill for Floyd on body?
- Dirty neck, I think most people are unsure if the issues are cosmetic or deeper (if a refret is necessary..)

Anyway, I hope this one goes to a good home stat or I might be tempted to pull the trigger myself!

Carl's one will be probably 50% more - but much cleaner and a floyd on it already.

Still waiting for more pics lol.

Heads up on this ebay spiderweb. Seller sent me an offer to buy at $950. We reviewed condition and the lack of success with 3 ebay auctions without a bid. He came down to $875. Not sure if that is someone's strike price here or not. But there seems to be movement now.
While I enjoy buying guitars, they don't always get the attention they deserve after I pull the trigger. I'm out.
Someone step in there and get it. I would guess there's a little more room.
