How many times have we told them? "Bring this formula back and it'll sell like mad". But no. They "test" the theory with a bottom end version of the Baretta and when it sells like crazy, instead of admitting they should listen, they put out mid-range guitars and stuff that Kramer was never known for. Same thing since day one, and It'll be used to kill it eventually. We keep hearing "This will be the year; just you wait." and we're still waiting. We have a better chance of getting a solid state Mesa, than seeing an American-made Liberty or SC-3, but the burst palette is never-ending.
In case anybody from Gibson is reading: the FORMULA is build a guitar using only the best parts available, in colors the people actually want. History buffs here can verify that the lesser lines followed, they didn't lead the way.
Talk about wasted chances. So many good starts, and then fail. The recession will kill any chance of the best plan working now.
