What did you clean the rusted backplate with ?

Soaked it in evaporust for two days after cleaning it with dawn (Swantech method)

lucked out on that one. pretty crazy someone would coat it in so much turtle jizz but you got the majority of the mess cleaned off.

lot of sweat equity to get it to that point but it sure is worth it. even if its not 100% perfect its still got the value and will make a great player you don't have to worry about bumping.

Thanks. Turned out to be a decent playing guitar. I still need to set it up when get some time. Definitely has some bumps and bruises but I kind of like it that way.
