I thought the first Kramer with a banana headstock was a copy of the hacked up Ibanez.

That one was basically a Gibson Explorer copy, not identical but close.

The Kramer Ad Franky general neck shape looks copied off the explorer but it has the tuners in a curved line like the later 5150 and ultimately the current 84 model (which oddly never seems to look quite right). The original Ibanez Destroyer, Gibson Explorer, Grail Baretta and ESP Kamikaze headstocks have the tuners in a straight line.

Thanks for the encouragement! I’ve been doing R5 Grails and JKs for a while now. You’ve inspired me to try my hand at shark tooth inlays and binding on a pointy for my next project.

I can't say if it's worth your time or not, but the closer you can get to making true replicas, the better imo, especially if you are able to recreate some of the more sought after Kramer necks. There are a lot of Kramer-style out there as you know, but not a lot of people making claw necks or maple R5 anything, etc (understatement of the year). Otherwise the competition would be at your price point from my view.

Here you go, I dont know why the pics are down but our semi-elusive fav. goat framer shared this on his company page of my neck. I do agree it would be nice if some would start building the Pointy style era necks.
