NGD - 1987 Kramer ZX30

Post by leftykramerguy » Tue Apr 05, 2022 11:18 am

Yeah yeah…I know. Cheap plywood Korean junk.

I saved her from the part out market, put her back together and cleaned her up, and added another original Kramer lefty to my collection.

Neck still shiny. Plays like butter. :lame

I won't snub the ply, all good. :thumbs

Looks in great shape and clean! I've had one of those necks, felt a bit more slim and more C shaped than an ESP pointy, fast.

How does it sound? Any cool vibes or anything?

Kramers, thanks for asking.

Did not get to play it a lot yet but keep reaching for the Floyd bar. :brow

Some dents in a few frets but completely happy with this 35 year old piece. The neck is much heavier weight-wise than my American which I keep telling myself I will finish soon.

I'm pretty sure xxx would say that the neck is heavy because it's made of rubber rather than real wood. I had to.. :roll :mrgreen

Does it feel like a strong neck, or just heavy? Inlay spacing and fretboard heel look very consistent between the two.

I own several plywood guitars.

Yeah, I know they aren't a specific tone wood, but a combination of several types of tone wood and tone glue combined under tons of pressure which gives them tone!! :mrgreen
