Help Me Fix this Nanner!

And ya, I used clamps, but the scarf just wanted to naturally slide down and away with pressure applied near the joint, basically attempting to separate the headstock from the neck shaft wood. I clamped it so a flat metal top table that I have

i think that's the reason vinnie used dowels....

Thanks for the info folks. I will try to separate and utilize the truss nut to clamp the two together, to limit separation while clamping.

Should I try heat applied via iron from the fretboard top side to loosen the recently applied glue? Or mild heat from a hair dryer on the open Seams?

Round 2 of attempted glue-up to improve the scarf joint situation. I used the truss nut to snug up the two halves before applying the clamps. Also, I placed two raised pieces of maple on either side of the truss Rod channel, slightly overhanging the neck edge to apply more upward force and hopefully force the headstock and shaft wood together more completely. I’ve got my fingers crossed that things will turn out better this time. As a bit of an aside, when I detached the previous glue-up attempt that I did earlier this week, the glue was very strong and difficult to get apart, so I have no hesitation that this glue-up will be loads more effective than the factory attempt. Tite-Bond III.

I used a heat gun on the Seams and gradually wedged a razor blade in there, working it up as the glue softened.

After the recent glue-up. Then after some sanding. Feels a lot better now.
