Thanks for the info folks. I will try to separate and utilize the truss nut to clamp the two together, to limit separation while clamping.

Should I try heat applied via iron from the fretboard top side to loosen the recently applied glue? Or mild heat from a hair dryer on the open Seams?

I used a heat gun on the Seams and gradually wedged a razor blade in there, working it up as the glue softened.
