I wish I had the cash right now, I would be all over this. Guy says he’s accepting offers, I’d throw one out there. He is incorrect, this is in no way a 1984, but these were supposedly handmade in the US. Koa body, awesome Birdseye neck, good hardware / pickups, for the price is a steal.

After I posted, I actually offered $600, guy immediately raised the price from $650 to $850. Now I’m kicking myself.

I don't know much about Charvels but isn't that more likely a 1995-1997 model and isn't the neck plate the wrong one? shrug

The San Dimas II was introduced in 1995 if my memory serves correctly. Second or third pic even shows this with the sales flyer from 95 (they started with the Koa).

The pricing is not too bad imo. They made really good axes then. But this is not for the usual Kramer cheapazzbazztid shrug .
Practice cures most tone issues.

Should be mid-90's IMO. I remember those, I didn't like the necks but the quality was ok. The fugly headstock defo forbids it from ever entering my house though.

I agree on the headstock, not my favorite. I held myself back from any other offers on it. These are from 1995. And the first few came with Jackson neck plates as they were made by the Jackson custom shop. Later they made Charvel plates. I have played one and I loved the neck and it sounded great.
With a baby on the way and numerous home repairs, I haven’t really purchased much recently, mainly been working on the guitars I own. Probably passing this up, even thought I have seen them sell in the $1500 range.
