Kramer 2000

Post by ddixon » Tue May 07, 2024 8:57 pm

I would appreciate any information you have about this guitar. I bought this Kramer from my guitar teacher in 1994. He did the Van Halen inspired taping. I changed the knobs when one started falling off, but still have the originals. This is the only page I can find that has a picture of it: ... amergram-/. It appears to just be called the "Kramer 2000". I understand it was made in Japan despite "Neptune, NJ" being on the back. The body is pretty light. The neck shape is different than my Fenders and Gibsons, but I don't know what shape to call it. I'm pretty sure it's a 24.75" scale, but haven't measured. Thanks in advance!

Should be an F- under the string bar on the truss cover. F-2000s are seldom seen.
But let's face it, someone buys a Kramer b/c it has a Floyd.

Very nice. I would take the black tape off. Check first under one piece if there is any color fade. Pretty guitar.
Excellent cost performance is a strong friend of a left-handed guitarist!
