Copycats... I remember my old Brian Moore i9 had "proudly made in Korea" on the back of the headstock.

Wonder if anyone has purchased a new Gibson/Epiphone-made 84 (made in Indonesia). I am curious about the quality of Indonesian vs Korean ones. I am happy with my the red 84 (Korean made, 2015) and think about getting second (in yellow). However, I have heard different opinions about the new ones from Indonesia (wood quality, etc.)

Meanwhile, I am still waiting for another Gibson m-3 reissue (I missed the last one few years ago). A nice banana headstock epiphone with a MAPLE board and Floyd Rose would be another option (yes, I am EVH obsessed. I mean I like Ed's Kramers, hate his new axes like EBBM or EVH stuff) .

So, any of you guys compared these two? One more time, to avoid confusion, I am not talkin about Kramer Baretta Vintage but about "the 84".

Thanks in advance

Got you, but I need maple fingerboard. When I make mistakes, I like to look at the bright side of 'em (and my life) and thus maple. Rosewood, on the other hand, looks like poo. OK, U2 had ebony board so it was not that bad. I know it is all about the playability but...It doesn't matter how you play the game or if you win or lose... it's how you look:)

Frankly speaking, I would like to get Explorer with a Floyd and maple board (maybe even white phenolic board - think Brendon Small Snow Falcon) or Baretta with maple board. Epiphone did the Negative series some time ago... Kramer produces (? never seen them ?) Voyagers, but these have beak headstock (hate them) instead of bananas/hockey sticks...

Rafikiknowtheway claimed the Indonesian 84's are good, maybe he can elaborate on that? Anyone else?
