It's gotten a bit out of hand lately. Need to downsize to a few keepers but it's hard to pass up ones like this. Now that I've had it a while and played it more, this might be one of my best playing Kramers even though it's probably my least valuable to sell. The action is just crazy low - this might be one of those situations where whoever owned it before either never played it or it was a student type guitar that sat unplayed for a long time, the frets are nearly perfect.

Of a fan of reverse headstocks on deluxe/3000 models, but that’s badass

Big fan of Deluxe's, never understood why the most versatile guitar pup layout wasn't as popular. I get it in the 80's we all wanted the single humbucker and I have my share. They are great one trick ponies. But as we grew we understood the need for tonal ranges.

Back to your F3000. I may be wrong but the late 88's had this layout change. Not my fav either and why I never bought one.
Too used to the Deluxe knob placement and you're right this is more in the way.
I also think this era of F's were actually the same body as Deluxe's. I could be wrong but minus the trem setter route they are the same.
I personally like reverse head stocks and think it looks amazing on this axe.
Congrats on the find I believe with the upgraded pup, also a fav of mine, this is as much as a Deluxe. Those F necks were the same as the Americans too. I think the stuff put out near the end was for the most part. ESP trying to dump inventory.

Thanks - I converted this body over with an American neck and a high number F plate so it's as much a Pacer Deluxe as any now. I did buy a pickguard from an earlier Pacer Deluxe though and if I'm correct in thinking the screw holes will line up, I may convert this one to the old layout. I really hate bumping that volume knob, it's just a weird spot to be in.

The neck lives on my FF Red sustainer now. Great neck, no American script but you'd never know by playing it as it is as good or better than any American neck I have (in terms of rosewood at least)
