What are the specs for the Duke tuning heads?

Post by Pitaorj » Fri Oct 23, 2020 12:43 pm

I need to replace one of the tuning heads in my duke bass, I know they´re Schaller M6s, but what are the specs? is the pole different from a guitar tuning head?

The reason why I´m doing it is that the previous owner broke the nut inside the tuning head body.

do you need a replacement?

I saw this earlier this week and didn't remember the spec

this weekend I'm cleaning out the hoarding shit from a couple of decades of being a KFreak and having a studio

I found a set of shallers, one missing, and the only bass axe that I could think was needing a replacement was a duke

are the tuning heads LARGE or medium?

From pictures they look like m6 guitar tuners rather than m4 bass tuners, though they don't always have the same screw position. Pictures would help.

This one had the original Schallers poached and replaced, but maybe the photo is helpful anyway. They are guitar tuners, not bass tuners.
