So, let the rebuild begin :thumbs

Tonight I've done a little bit, first off copper shielding the cavities, I'm not bothered either way about this being done but seeing as how it's a sort of blank canvas I thought I'd do it this time!

Next up fit the electrics, pup, OFR & strap buttons!

And lastly just dropped the maple tranny neck into the pocket for a mock up, it's a real snug fit & I think it looks sexy as fook drool

Well that's enough for now, all that remains is to fit the neck, check string alignment & drill new holes, then string her up & we're done :thumbs

Damn, Dave, that rings all my bells. What a stunning refurb. ThereĀ“s something about those plain black guitars with maple necks - just like a tuxedo. Looks high dollar without being over-dressed.

It's not quite right tho :nono

The Trem cavity was left slightly too big, if you look at the frontal pic with the trem fitted you'll see a gap below the baseplate on the arm side :cen Any way it'll not be that noticeable once the cavity cover plate is on!

So it has a reverse zebra Full Shred in it which used to sound so sweet in the original shit state body :headbang , no reason for it to be otherwise now & it's coil tapped on a push/pull pot, just for that little extra bit of versatility :thumbs , rest of the hardware is all original but I guess ot's gotta be labelled as a mutt due to the maple tranny neck, even tho' it started life with a tranny shrug Original serial plate with a low E15xx!

More pics to follow once I get the neck drilled & properly fitted :thumbs

Wouldn't worry about it, a lot of the Sports bodies were like that from the factory. It's looking good. :thumbs
