Found something interesting and cool.

I was on ebay tonight. I think I found a 1985 D plate Baretta project. It has been refinished. It is missing the Floyd Rose and original pickup.
I kind of like the finish and might keep it.
I have been looking at these pictures and the body looks like my 1984 body. The pickup ring looks correct. The neck and tuners look correct for 1985. For $175.00 I had to grab it. RIGHT?
What do you folks think? I think it might be a real 1985.

I was hovering on the BIN.
Looks all there. Could be original paint is still intact under the garbage.
But let's face it, someone buys a Kramer b/c it has a Floyd.

Cool project. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Nice price too.
I strum, therefore, I can't shred!

I kind of like the paint.
It gives homage to EVH guitars without being an exact copy.
I will see how it looks up close when I get it. I wonder how you could strip it without damaging the original finish underneath. If the original finish is still there?
Dangit. I will have to buy another Duncan 78, and another Floyd Rose.

HECK YEAH!
Just checked my parts hoard. I found an original, early 80's, small script, black, Floyd Rose.
I also just found a new in the box Duncan JB Reverse Zebra. I forgot I bought a few of these for future projects.
I forgot I had this stuff laying around. LOL.
It should be a fun/fast project.
I will have to check the neck, and body, for identifying marks, also the pot #'s when it arrives.

Nitro thinner won't damage the original polyester finish, but it may be able to remove the stuff used afterwards.

Could be a fun little "treasure hunt" to see what's underneath... might get lucky like that time I bought a beat-up Warlock for 20 bucks and found a JB in it.
