Hello. My name is Joe. I am a new member from the metro Detroit area. I have been playing guitar for around 31 years. I have been a guitar tech for just as long. I have been a full time Professional guitar tech for the past 6 years. I have worked in the music industry for going on 21 years.
My first guitar was a black 1985 Kramer Striker 100st on my 16th birthday. Guess why? LOL. Maybe it was a certain 16 year old obsession with a rock band from Pasadena California, with an amazing guitar player.
I had several horrible jobs as a kid that led me to owning a 1986 Kramer Baretta Kline Fly, a 1987 Kramer NightSwan in sparkle blue, a 1986 Ferrington black. Then the 1990's happened. My music style changed a little. I sold everything except the Striker 100st, for Les Paul's, and later a PRS.
In the last year I got A NightSwan back. Sparkle Blue. Just like the one I always regretted selling. This started some SERIOUS GAS. I now have a 1989 Kramer Pro Axe standard in Candy Red, a 1989 Kramer Sustainer in black. I have purchased, and am selling (2) 1986 Baretta's, (1) 1985 Baretta GuitarArt grail, (1) 1987 Baretta in flip flop white, (2) 1987 Kramer Focus 1000's.
I am having fun playing guitar again. I was amazed that other people also have kept a love for these guitars.
So this has led me here. I hope to learn all I can, and help others with the knowledge I have gained in over 30 years.

Thanks.
I have only been a member of one other forum, and in the winter I tire of talking about vintage cars.

Have some similarities to your story SWANTECH. Started a few years before you but bought my Focus 1000 because of Eddie and regretted trading my Ibanez Roadstar for it before I realized you could own more than one guitar. Got my Roadstar back this year and will not let any of my lefties leave the family again.

Cheers! :toast
Excellent cost performance is a strong friend of a left-handed guitarist!

Thanks. I know. I am NOT selling my Nightswan again. I have a few others I wont sell.
I have around 40 guitars I need to sell. 10 in the process of being repaired, and half dead. I have about 25 that are going nowhere.
One guitar that I will be buried with. My 1989 PRS CST. My main guitar since 1994. It is a part of me.
I have way too many guitars. I lost control a while ago.
"Loss of control, loss of control, loss of control".
Lol.
