lol it should say "HG" in the neck pocket not "HB"

here are some pics of the neck pocket and what you should see, I've had a few over the years.

The one I had was def a off the run build as it was installed with the shaller trem and nut from the get go. I think the Jackson bridge is a cool thing and sounds good but the rear locking bolts are the weak point and if they break you have to take whole bridge apart to get the saddle off. I think there is a titanium bolt mod that cures that now.

Wow thanks for all of the info. So it looks like I will need to hunt down a super 5-way switch from somewhere to go along with the JE-1000 boost. I also don't think mine has that metal plate that goes in the cavity anymore, so I probably need some copper tape too. It's odd that the owner removed the electronics but left the factory pickups... or maybe they put the factory pickups back in before they sold it.

I'll definitely have to look at the 5-way wiring to see if I can set the boost to be on/off depending on the position. I still don't think the usual super 5-way switching makes sense as long as the neck pickup is a stacked single coil - and the boost on/off would be more useful for my style of playing that being able to switch to single coil mode on the bridge pickup.

It'll probably be a while but I'll be sure to update here once I get it "restored"
Too many to list now...
Always looking for maple pointies, especially bound headstocks.

There are several versions of the superswitch with different coil combinations. Would be nice if you get the correct one while you're at it. Look here:

Schaller alone has some 4-5 different versions. Then you have several by Eyb as well. Fender and Dimarzio have open connectors and are the most flexible, but also most complicated to wire up.
