Additional numbers on OFR nuts?

Post by Dirty D » Sat Jan 06, 2018 3:38 pm

Next question: In addition to the R1, R2, R3, etc. designation, I have noticed that German Floyd nuts often will have an additional number on the back (1.1, 1.5, 1.8, 1.11, etc.), but many other German ones don't have this.

What does this number mean? Thanks!

There has been a few theories. Most accepted was the Stamping machine ID.

shrug
But let's face it, someone buys a Kramer b/c it has a Floyd.
