EVH Striped Series 5150

Interesting find, the current Fender EVH 5150 headstock resembles the Hamer headstock. What I wasn't aware of was that Fender actually purchased Hamer in 2007 and then stopped production of Hamer guitars in 2012 and disbanded the company. (Wikipedia source)

EVH Striped Series 5150

Well Kaman bought the name and revived some of the entry-level models, so there is some hope that they may return eventually... There is a recent thread about that somewhere in the forum.

That aside, I like Hamer HS shape, I loved it on a Chaparall so I would not mind having that. I do dislike the striped EVH design though, always looked awful to me... with any shape.

I can overlook the thumb wheel truss rod adjustment but why is the nut width 1 11/16 instead of 1 5/8?
:evil Oh my god, look what the cat dragged in... Livin' my life, sin after sin. Night rolls up and I do it again... Oh my god, look what the cat dragged in.
