Re: Vintage Kramer maple beak neck rescue.
We are near the 24 hour mark. I checked the neck and I don't think it has moved at all. The greatest amount of bow is just around 30 thousandths. It looks great. The next steps are to tighten the truss rod and carry on with the L,C,P, and fret end dressing. The neck looks the same as the last pic's ...

Re: Vintage Kramer maple beak neck rescue.
Just a update.
It is 9.5 hours after taking it out of the jig.
It looks like it hasn't moved at all from this morning. It is looking really good so far.

Re: Future project. SKULLS, Soloist.
It took some time to get a blue color that I liked to paint the headstock with. I have let the paint cure for about a week. I lightly level sanded it today. Then put on the first UV clear coat. I am really happy with it. I took a pic to see if I liked it and I do. So the next step is to level sand t...

Re: Supporting docs? lol
Absolutely! I did the same thing:) How about that feeling when you’re recording an album to cassette and someone or something makes the record skip? Good times. Extra credit if you’ve ever plugged your guitar into your cassette deck for some fuzzy distortion😉🎸
I once told my niece ...

Re: Vintage Kramer maple beak neck rescue.
To just clarify. Obviously. There is not a separate glued on fret board on this style of neck. So there is no worry about fret board issues. However I still don't heat from the fret board side because I don't want to heat the frets. If this was a refret I would not care, and I might decide to do it ...

Re: Vintage Kramer maple beak neck rescue.
Yesterday after checking the neck. I placed it back into the jig and clamped it down. I did one 20 minute heat cycle. Then went to the store to get some stuff. Since I stupidly lifted something too heavy the day before helping a neighbor. My back was screaming at me. So I decide it was a good time t...

Dammit.
I threw out all my 1980's mixed tapes years ago. They could have been worth thousands of dollars.

Re: "Excellent" condition "Distressed" ProAxe
It is an aesthetic that is very popular, and not just in guitar building. Beyond that. There is a feel, and a sound that is very different from a guitar with a lot of shinny new paint and clear coat on it. Some of the most expensive and elite guitar manufactures have for years tried to build guitars...

Re: 80s swan deal
had a very uncommon compound radius fret board What is the compound 12-16 like a Jackson? Is the Proaxe the most similar model feel wise being 24 fret, r1, don't know the radius? I'll admit, when I got my first Proaxe weeks ago, my first thought was this is the best (thinest) neck of all kramers an...
