Did Matsumoku Focuses come with fine tuner Floyds?

Just a bit more info......the 85 in the body has nothing to do with the year.

This would be 83 Maybe early 84 vintage.

Also- the Matsu guitars came with non fine tuner Floyds.....

It is nice looking, but as it is more a mutt than anything I would pass if you have anything more than 300 in it.

Good info, guys! I got thrown a financial curveball yesterday anyhow, so I texted seller let him know I'm low on funds. If it's still around in a few weeks, we'll see if I can negotiate. I'm wondering why the neck has locking nut if the guitar originally had NFT Floyd? I like the idea of adding a Matsu to see if it feels any different, but another part of my interest really was with the EMGs. I've been wanting to take a stab at holoflash by doing a Focus 3000 all blacked out except for the flash and then put some EMGs in there for a different sound, and if I mess up the flash, then it's just a Focus and chalk it up to learning. I would put some different pups in this Matsu and then put the EMGs in my Flash-cus. Anyway, we'll see. Thanks again for the insights!

Floyd originally was developing a clamping nut to work with a vintage trem.

+1 on the Matsu......those markings in the pickup cavities are a dead giveaway.

I didn't realize that about the markings. In that case, the Focus 1000's by Kramer with the banana headstock may also be Matsu's? (I have two with said markings).

What Floyd Rose actually patented (and defended) was the actual locking NUT, not the bridge. This is what made him a rich man....

So the answer is yes, it would (should) have a locking nut with the guitar....
