This one again started out as a Kit.....but

Wire is mil-spec 600 degree Teflon coated. All resistors are Vishay-Dale Carbon Comp ONE PERCENT tolerance. SoZo hand made capacitors (no longer made).

At the time I built this Hi-Tone was kit only. Clayton later stopped building kits and founded the Hi-Tone amp company in partnership with Glen Reeves (Founder of Hiwatt) (Glen is Dave's Son) At the time they were not building Combo amps so I had a custom cabinet built by Jeff Swanson.

Power Tubes are vintage RCA. Pots are IEC.

Amp is a 30 Watt / 15 Watt option.....BUT....In 30 watt setting it uses a vactrol to allow you to kick a foot switch to select the power setting. Using this option you can go a very nice solo boost without pissing off your front of the house guy. With the vactrol there is no POP during the change.

Do not let the 30 watt fool you however. This thing has the same ass as the 50 watt Marshall. If you are looking for a club venue amp that is real tube and won't break your back- you will not find ANYTHING that will touch this.

US only on this one guys as the transformer is only 110/120

$1500.00 Plus Shipping

I'm impressed :not

One needs lots of patience to do such a neat, clean build. Especially all those twisted wires to prevent EM-interference etc, awesome :thumbs

The more I look at the amp, the more I want it - though I'm not really in the market for one. Any idea on the weight? I'm guessing 35 pounds, but I could be "weigh" off.
