Just a heads-up for nanner fans - it's a Nashville-made Epiphone Pro, basically a Gibson U2 with a bolt-on instead of set neck. I already have two U2's and really don't need this, but it's itching in my fingers... it's a hell of an offer, the hardware and pups alone are well worth the price.

Nice! What do they normally sell for?

400-700 dependng on condition etc, but they're way more worth than that as a guitar. All american, quality woods, Bill Lawrence pups and they play like butter. Regarding sound and playability it blows any Stagemaster out of the water with ease.

I'm still hovering over the BIN button because I'd like to strip the parts (Gibson-branded Schaller floyd and those pups) to restore my U-2 to its original state, but on the other hand it would be a pity.

If it's still there tomorrow I just may hit it after all, we'll see.

I'd take a Stagemaster any day.

This Sustainer ended up with a Gibson branded Floyd on it:

If I didn't just buy a Floyd Rose Sig, I would be hovering over the BIN too!

Well of course, it's more valuable and looks better. But trust me, as a player, it's inferior to these.

Just my 2c - I had several Stageys and still have two U2's, thus I know how they compare first-hand. I kept none of the Stageys, because to me they're only useful as really good looking wall decoration. Sterile tone, awful finish on the neck (same as the body, but it's no good for the neck) and I didn't dig the neck shape either.

Back on topic - you made me do it, I just hit the BIN... :bananahead :bananahead :bananahead

Sweet, good score! Your post got me remembering an old Epiphone S series I bought at Guitar Center years ago, it had an OFR and a pretty sweet jackson-like neck for $99. There is also an Epiphone 935i project on the Bay that could be a fun one...like a Stagey with the thru neck, these I guess were made in Korea though.

Yeah I remember the S series, though I never played one. There were some nice axes back then which went completely under among the gazillion brands which competed in the same market, Gibson strats not being that popular either way...

Edit: that 935 is a looker, pity it was built for a kahler trem otherwise it's be mine
