Hello. I started playing guitar when I was 8 years old and now I'm 61. Gigged from 1969 to 1989 playing everything from Hank Williams to Motley Cure. A fan of the big hair 80's metal. Currently I own um.... too many guitars if there is such a thing. My favorite and the one I played through most my metal 80's is a 84 Kramer Pacer Carrera. Also have a Gibson LP Premium, PRS Custom 24 Floyd Rose 10 top, a 2007 MIM Strat and several other lesser known collectors. Collectors in that they have value to me LOL. My 75 Electra White Zypher 2264 for example. Played through most the 70's.

Other hobbies: Fast & Classic cars, Metal Detecting, Drones

My Carrera

Welcome on board and, no, we won't blame you having too much guitars. :roll
Very nice carrera you have. But you might need some more Kramers...

Welcome aboard :toast . No such thing as "too many gitfiddles" :roll .

That Carrera looks very good. How´d you rate it against your PRS FR TT (not the insane grain of the wood, more the playability and practical usefulness)?

Couple corrections. I believe this is a 1983 not 84, and my Gibson LP is a Supreme not a Premium.

I think the Kramer feels better. Feels more natural to me, but then I've played the Kramer for a good 10 years solid where as the PRS is relatively new to me. Tone wise for the most part again I like the Kramer, but I do have to say the PRS is a shreder for sure. It has the \m/ Metal pups so I'm sure that helps.

Welcome :toast

I do get that with too many guitars, makes little sense when you only play like three of them while the rest never leave the case. Same "problem" here.

Hello Southwind, welcome to the forum. Your Carrera looks sick man! :headbang :thumbs Is it a B plate or a C and does it have a kidney shaped control cavity or a rectangular one? This is my 84 Carrera with a C plate and rectangular control cavity. Somehow yours look better to me... shrug
