Hi, new here. Played Kramers back in the '80s and have had a few here and there since.

I have a 3000D project underway with a broken pickguard. My question is does anybody know if a normal 3000 pickguard is the same size and shape as the 3000D?

They would be very close. You'd have to see them side by side.
Welcome aboard!

Well thats the tricky part! I don't have one to compare side by side, and I don't want to buy one if its not going to be the same.

I have a 3000D body that I built up
Used a standard Fender shape PG. Holes were different but it covered everything up.

Not sure what you want to see....but I did put in a barrel jack instead of mounting the jack on the PG.

The two 3000D Kramers I owned had the input jack in the pickguard.

I have had a Strat guard on the body at one time. I really don't like the fit or the look. The contours of the guard in relation to the body just don't look right to me. As far as the jack on the guard, thats nothing that a reamer can't take care of if need be. I don't have to deal with it though since I drilled and installed a football style jack on the edge of the body.

What did you do with the original guard?
