A recent ebay China acquisition. The 8-hole vintage style pick guard fits the focus quite well with just a little modification to accommodate the Floyd bridge and the HB.

Black pickguards on black bodies get lost in contrast. That new one sure spiced the old girl up.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Mark, there are more choices, but I searched on ebay for '8-hole strat pick guard' (or some variation). All the ones I found are traditional 3 singles. I got lucky choosing a pearlescent because the single hole closest to the bridge actually needed some material to fill the bottom and you can hardly tell with the random pattern. I think it would stand out more with a solid color. The holes lined up damn close, but the hole south of the bottom trem post is eliminated and you have to cut out material and simply drill a new one. The bottom hole for the bridge single coil becomes a problem as well after you cut out a larger humbucker spot. I happen to have a couple of abalone dots left over and drilled and filled (a bit of extra work to consider) Hope that helps.

No apologies necessary Christian! It is pretty gaudy but it gave me a chance to clean the 5 way switch and give the truss rod a 1/4 turn.
