I just bought a non-tilt pointy Focus 3000 and was curious if it was built by Matsu or ESP. I have a couple of tilt points and know that they were made by ESP (both '87 models), but wasn't sure about the earlier non tilt guits.

Also, the OFR is marked "Made in Germany", and my other two are "Made in W. Germany". Possible replacement, or did the W. Germany and Germany get used interchangeably?

Final note: When did the forum reboots again? Haven't been on in a couple of years and found that my username was deactivated and the name had a "z" added.

Good to see you here.
Pointy 3000 is ESP. :worthless
Early Floyd's, tuners & nuts were stamped W.Germany.

The MiG one should have been manufactured after 1990 (re-unification with the GDR).

This KF is a new place since George didn´t want to run and fund the old place but didn´t want to hand it over to a new admin either. Tony build this KF on the fly last year in August and did a great job in running this show.

Ok, may just be a replacement trem then. The knife edges are in great shape, but it has the usual corrosion issues. Ought to be able to clean her up nicely. Needs a fret level and some pickups, but should fit in nicely with the rest of the herd.
