What year did "Kramer Japan" change the 6k switch arangement from 3 in a row toggle to the strat type blade switch?
Are all Focus necks from '84-'86 ESP? How can you tell? If not, who else made them in the Japan market?
My 6k has the "made in Japan" print on the back of the beak.

From vintagekramer.com

"Focus 6000---The Focus 6000 was the equivalent to the Pacer Custom I at the time with a Jackson like slantH-SS config. body with extended horns and squared off body with no pickguard and a floyd Rose. It was introduced in 1986. Controls were 1 vol and 3 on/off switches-one for each pickup. It featured the non-tilt head with a headstock like the pointy variety with a rounded nose then was changed later to a more pointed version. Pickups were S. Duncans. In 1988, like the other remaining Focuses, it gained a neck through design then was switched back to a bolt-on a year later and aquired a coil tap switch. The 6000 was the only Focus available with a reverse head option."

6000s never had beak necks.
Post some pics of what you got... :headbang

I think when the Focus series became the 'F' series, the Fender 5-way was the norm on the F-6000 models, but can someone help, with the year?

It looks like a beak to me. Pointy hockey stick? Mine is the same as the previous picture, CAR.
I see no way to post photos here. I've posted pix before, but the site has changed?

When we say beak, we are generally referring to this shape:

You can imagine an early Stratocaster head stock shape that has had some material removed for legal reasons.

Yours is likely an '86 from the description you gave.
