A question for some experts. Need help.
I just bought a chrome F plate Baretta 1, in flip flop white, serial #F22**. It is being shipped to me, I should get it this week. This guitar is a little strange because it has the small Block 3D Kramer logo. It has the lower horn scoop. So I think it is an early 1987. It is also odd that it has a matching head stock in flip flop white color. The prior owner states he bought it years ago as a matching body and neck from someone on this forum?
Most of the hardware is NOT original. I have all the parts to make it more original. I have an original Floyd, Schaller tuners, an old JB, Barreta T rod cover, and original style pickup ring.
Kramer did so much crazy stuff.
Could this guitar be original? OR. Is it a MUTT?
What do you folks think?
It is a cool guitar I plan on restoring and selling. So I want to be as honest as possible when I list it for sale later this month.
Also. Strange that the trem back plate has NO mounting holes drilled.

Headstock appears to be refinned and relogoed. Looks like a bit of orange peel at the K and I can see the edge of the waterslide. To be period correct, should have used the big K/little r logo.

That was my thinking also. When I get it I will tear it down and give it a good look.

I am pretty certain that is a fire sale neck plate. They sold boxes and boxes of those at the fire sales, and I believe that serial number was not one that was assembled into a guitar before the original Kramer factory stopped production. So that would seem to lend further support to the repainted parts mutt theory.

That´s a re-logoed mutt. I´ve seen it around the old place a couple years ago. Just don´t remember the context. Still a great Retta :headbang .

Was mine a few years back. Nothing original. Had a Gotoh trem on it when I had it.

Any more info you can give?
Was neck and body always together? Or is this purely a parts mutt?
I haven't got this yet.
I am kind of P'O'd that the ebay seller did not disclose this in his description.
If the body and neck are good. I can make it a player.

I bought it from another member of the forum. It had a maple R5 neck on it at the time, as well as a Gotoh trem. If I remember correctly, I just sold the body, but really can't remember. Actually, I wish I would have kept the body.
