Thanks for that! Now I'm scared, but I really wanna try it out, so maybe I'll practice on a Focus as a test mule before I try my idea on a more valuable guitar. I'm curious, what type of paper did you use that you and the Goat Whisperer decided was too thin? I bought a small bit of flash material off fleaBay a while back, supposedly the real deal stuff, and the instructions just say use construction paper.

FWIW, I think it looks great! The human visuoperceptual system is funky, and in reality most people are blind to those types of imperfections unless they are cued ahead of time to look for them. But I feel ya, I'm an OCD perfectionist and I can usually find something to be dissatisfied with, however minor or invisible it might seem to everybody else.

So cheers to a good job on a unique and cool looking design. I'm sure all that wet sanding and buffing was a PITA, but it looks good!

Love it! I have a badly beaten one of those, that is going to get special treatment once I move back to Europe and get some money.

Late model bodies always get my attention. They weren't the best woods used, but they sure are purrrty to look at. I look forward to you this time of year more than Santa Claus. :thumbs :merryx

This is going to be a slow one. I've discovered cigar box guitars, lol.

I still play 'Whitey' often. It's my #2. It plays and sounds sublime, which is why I'm putting EMG's in this one.
