A week ago last night, with no gig scheduled, I grabbed my DMZ 4001 and went to Fort Collins to an open stage. A friend of mine brought his DMZ 2000, and we jammed dueling Lumies for a good hour. I don't think I'd ever seen two Lumies onstage at the same time in northern Colorado, especially 35 years after they stopped making them. We did all kinds of blue and old rock; my favorite song we did that night was "Let it Bleed" by the Stones. I used to do that in a band called the Road Ants back in the late Seventies. Tempus fugit.

Great job representing the Lumies on stage like that. This is probably the only place on earth where the story of that event is appreciated. Even without pics to back up the story.

Oh, I know. Maybe I can get it to happen again and have someone take a pic with my phone. I just get involved in playing and the night goes by ....
That's been my problem since the 1970s ... I have a hundred pix of stages BEFORE we started, but way too few from WHILE we were playing. I played a thousand gigs before I was a married man, and my wife doesn't go with me every time I play, so there's a lot of my music career that's etched in my memory (such as it is) but not on film or in my private cloud.

You know, that is the most romantic statement about music since the iPhone┬┤s been rolled out :not . I wish the world would heed that a bit more as an advice for several reasons :thumbs .
