A guy in my aera is selling a very low serial Kramer Focus 2000 (000182). He say that it was own by a famous local singer but that's really not what caught my eyes, I am more interested in the low 3 digit serial. He is asking a lot of money (cdn$) for this guitar based on his assumption that it was owned by a celebrity but has he can't proof that one, I think I could get this for much lower than he is asking for. What would be your highest price for this guitar?

Could be worth that to a fan. Odd contraption on the headstock looks to be same as in the picture with Gerry Boulet. Without the celeb link the low serial isn't going to add value and the mods wouldn't help either.

Basically it's worth what a fan wants to pay, provenance or not.

Realistic value would be in the range $150-200 for parts only (80-100 for the trem and 30-50 for each body and neck). Pups and the rest of the hardware are like zero value, low-range asian stuff. The serial is worth absolutely nothing for a japanese axe and it's not like EVH himself owned it or such.

What is „a famous LOCAL singer“? The Elton John of the block scratch_head ?

Low serial in itself is worth exactly nothing. That Focus suffered a bit. 200 CAD would be a stretch for me.

3 large???? Before I saw who actually owned it, I figured it had to be either Cheech or Chong. Take a zero away, and it would be almost right.

Pretty rad guitar minus that thing behind the nut. Those earliest focci are fun guitars. They sported cream fret markers which later became pearl, then white. I'd pay $250 if it came with a Kramer hardshell case.

That contraption is a fender fine tune unit.
That alone is @$100.
Those early 2000 were supposedly built with parts from Neptune.
Unconfirmed & undocumented. shrug

Are we sure that neck and body came together originally? I have never seen an NFT Focus with a locking nut. If the frets are in good condition (pretty big "if"), then I would try to grab it cheap, sell the Fender Locking nut and use that money to buy a used OFR, invest in decent pups, and it could turn into a pretty sweet little vintage piece.

Price is insane, though. Now if Gerry Boulet had signed it... :roll

Neck, body, NFT, plate. 100% legit.
I have 000219, original owner. It had NFT & lock nut. This was Floyd’s original set up.
This what it looks like now.
