Hello folks, I would like to date my Kramer guitar, its a B8962 serial number. Made in USA.

Welcome. It seems you have a beautiful early pacer imperial transred with a flicker tremolo. Probably 1982 or early. The GK3 just kill it's "mojo".

Yeah, 1982 to early 1983, it's a fairly late B serial number and C plates came out early 1983, though there a no guarantees with Kramer.

Have you checked out Vintage Kramer?

Wow, really nice birdseye on that neck - don't think I've ever seen one like that from the factory.

Nice early Pacer Imperial you got there.

GK3 should be easo to remove, those two little screw holes can be easily repaired with no traces left.

Nice Imp :thumbs :headbang .

The GK doesn´t bother me in the least. That can be dealt with.

Only thing I don´t like is the widened hole to fit a regular Toggle switch in where a small DPDT is meant to be. But that´s just me shrug .

Very nice Trans Red btw. Is that crack under the low E just in the finish scratch_head ?

I actually prefer the bigger switch, was thinking about it for my Imp recently but didn't want to destroy it.
