Post subject:  Focus 3000 question

My first Kramer was a candy apple red Focus 3000. I never should have sold it. Looking around the interwebs every Focus 3000 I see has a coil split mini toggle on it. Mine did not have this. i think it was about 1984 when I bought it. Was their a year they were made without the coil split?

Thanks for any help!

If anyone has a Focus 3000 with a surfer dude painted on the back and the body repainted white, let me know! I've been looking for years. Last seen in Moscow Idaho.

Welcome.
The 3000D did not have a switch but it also lacked the output jack cup. It had a jack mounted on the gaurd where the second tone was.

Matsumoku made Focus 3000 also did not have a switch.
Note the pup ring.

I think the later models got the switch at some point... at least I saw a few on ebay with the switch installed.

Thank you for al the replies! Mine looked just like the 84 ESP made model, but with no coil switch.

Another example would be the Globe Pacer. But labelled as "Pacer series" not Focus (even if it is technically an early Focus).

My first thought when I saw the belly of this one was Matsu.....I have never cared for that look/contour, but it is striking a fancy at the moment.

Come on OP...dig up some photos of this baby so we can help you find it :headbang

I finally dug up a pic of my old Focus 3000. I remember having a seymmore duncan jb installed with a toggle. The second toggle was just to fill the hole. Don't laugh to hard, it was the 80's...
