I have switches on the way and I am going to part out a guitar and use the JB from that. It’s coming along! A FS Post of a 83 Focus 2000 parts coming soon...

I had one just like it 2 years ago, that was an amazing guitar, its volume was twice that of my other guitars,I plugged it in one day after just unplugging one guitar and plugging into it and it sounded like I had a 20db boost pedal turned on all the way..lots of resonance and just an awesome guitar, might be an Ash body..you did Damn Good !

Slowly getting this one finished. It’s all strung up and has a JB but isn’t wired up yet. I’ll eventually get the single coils in. But I was inserting Floyd post inserts to correct a leaning wood screw in, the wood appeared pretty red for what poplar should be. Any thoughts about it possibly being alder?

I also desperately want a period correct American neck for this guit. A claw would be the dream, but a Kramer 12th fret, or bound HS would be sweet too. Anyone have a lead on where I might inquire for one?

Could be. ESP did the woodwork at the time.
Prob used whatever was on top of the wood pile to make whichever guitar was next to be cut to keep up with quota. More inexplicable randomness from Kramer lore. shrug

I bet that could be! For all the American bodies of this era, were the woods ESP used of Japanese origin? Or American bodies sent to japan then sent back to US for assembly?

My understanding is that raw wood was sent from US to Japan for American series guitars. I'm sure some of that ended up in other guitars as well.

Finally finished this beast, I love the all chrome with white body and with black hs. I'm going to play this for a couple of weeks and see if it's a keeper. Image
