Radius 10"?

edit: I asked the guy, he's a retired luthier and says he made the owner a new 1-piece maple neck for the original Kramer many years ago, but can't remember the exact model.

While my slightly older Pacer Special has Clay Dots and 45 degree tuners.

I do not own the fancy steel gauges, and my playing is such that the radius is not something I can tell the difference of.

I would love to see that same heel shot with your gauge set on top with a backlight on the fretboard to see what you see though...It all just makes me say hmmmmmmmm

See post above, he says it came off an old Kramer "many years ago".

You can't see through with a 16" gauge, it fits exactly. I'll make some pics, I'll be leveling the frets the coming weekend I guess. But you can trust me to know how to measure the radius :)

The better question is, how many hours will I need to find *just* the right shims for the floyd saddles :roll I am extremely sensitive there, it must fit exactly or it just feels unplayable.

Could be a focus neck.

Was never questioning that......I just have never seen a neck radius gauge in action, and I have never seen a 16" Kramer radius neck......

BUT

I absolutely agree the neck is an authentic Kramer and not an aftermarket......

Definitely no focus neck, those were 12", had normal slab boards w. straight bottom and a normal (wider) nut shelf.

No sir.
Radiused FB, pearloid markers, narrow nut shelf & 45° tuners same as the one I have currently on my white 2000 which is from a 3000 by Kramer with block logo.
I don't have a gauge to confirm the radius.
Nothing wrong with those necks. Fantastic player. One day I will get around to the refret of the original 2000 neck. shrug

Ok, that's some good info. I had several beak foci but none of them was like what you describe, maybe I had some other year.

The nut area does look quite like the one below, including the little slot visible from the truss rod route. But the board here is straight bottom, not bent and also thicker:

I must check the screw spacing later, that may give some clue as well. Foci mostly had strat spacing (though not all years). It was a bit pricey for a Focus neck then, but still ok for my project.

That alien listing sux. Pics are terrible. None of the side fret markers or truss rod adjust. :bs
I've never seen a non-Radiused focus beak board & I don't believe that listing is IMO.
The focus used Radiused boards up to the non-tilt pointies.
