Yes indeed I am guilty of retracing some ground I've been across in the last forum. So be it. This disaster was in need of a makeover, so it was decided that the previous chisel work could be cleaned up with the right tool, namely a router. (Btw, I promise I was not the original culprit as I purchased this for the neck and bridge)

I routed to leave the poplar plug a wee bit proud so I could get the surface flush with a hand plane.

The body, I am pretty certain, came from a focus 1000 which was beavered out for 3 slant hums. It was originally candy blue and was refinished in enamel gloss black.

I didn't raise the bar real high, because I went with Krylon sunshine yellow.

Chose to add a single neck route and keep the original bridge hum to resemble a Japan market LK-1

Good point. I reserve the right to use hole plugging hardware as we've seen employed down at the crib. The real reason is because I am an idiot. The only real way I can possibly utilize 2 of the small holes is using a mini toggle and a momentary kill switch, that still leaves an extra. :bang

Don´t think that you are, Steve. With my two left hands I couldn´t even do a half-assed job of the beaver-fill. And yours is perfect.

Great job there!

As for the holes, one for the second volume or tone, one for pickup switch and one for split switch - that would work.

No, I am positive it's a Japanese Focus (ESP). In another thread I have a Striker maybe that is what you are thinking about.

You fellas are very kind. What needs to happen, however, is completion. I have a vision of sorts, but until it comes to it's fruition, all these parts are as useful as puzzle pieces. (Tits on a warthog).
Good news is the process is fun for me, and can keep me out of some trouble. The real trouble is juggling like three separate projects and keeping the A.D.D. in check. :alien

Are these bodies from the same guy or same local?
Maybe something in the water. :whistle
