Thanks for the kind words, fellas. She is now wired for sound.

The lace alumitones require 250K pots. The 2-way allows both pups split or both normal. The 3-way, which is to the player's right of the tone knob is wired in the predictable (les paul) manner.

Waiting for warmer, dry weather to finish the neck with a urethane. It's getting close :viking

That came out great! I would be very interested to hear your impressions of the alumitone pickups either now or after you live with them for a bit.

I am no salesman, Doc. My opinion is they are good pickups. I will probably use them in a future application. The neck can get Gilmour Stratorrific when clean and the bridge position sounds fine when the signal is clipped with warm, rather than overly harsh overdrive. I love the guitar too ( :mrgreen yes I am biased).

This project has been a long time coming and I guess this is a little different from other recent builds for at least one reason. The others were a little anticlimactic once completed, but this one has me feeling just as excited about playing it as I had been about getting it done.

Something that kinda changed my original plan with the nut was the slightly thicker finger board combined with big and tall frets. The R2 nut would have needed a super thick shim, so I went with the slightly wider spaced and taller R3. Works great.

Well done! I hope my new fretboard comes out as good! Did you superglue the frets in? Did you find the fret clipper tool worth the money? It looks just like a cutter at home hardware for 1/4 the price...
