That’s terrible, and his asking price is insanity! The route was for upper fret access??? A little too much access, perhaps.

I just messaged the seller. If we all call them on this jack assery maybe it will go away.
Just pester them.
I wrote.
If 2 of the same exact Kramer Baretta guitars sold for $800.00 recently on Reverb. Then. Why is a destroyed version worth $1,800.00? Is the hardware SOLID GOLD?
I will offer $40.00 for parts and case.

Lets see what that does. LOL.

Probably nothing, that kind of guy will usually have just one and a half functioning brain cells.

Before we bash this guy into obscurity, remember everyone did something stupid like this to their guitar in the 80s. I blame Vai for this - he ruined a beautiful Charvel #3733 (which was borrowed from Grover nonetheless). I can see if Vai had small pudgy hands like mine.

It only goes to show somebody PLAYED the thing and made music with it, not kept it in a closet praying they'll make a profit. And in Kramer land, if it's not a NightSwan, non-tilt Baretta, archtop Stagemaster, ProAxe, signed by Ed, or a Kline, you're taking a dump. These were tools used by musicians to make music with, and I'm sure the Kramer employees didn't fathom that we'd be collecting these things 35 years later.

And as we all know, there's quite a bit here in parts. a $125 Floyd, $25 nut, $60 tuners, $125 neck (due to the horrendous scalloping job)... If the guy prices the guitar high does that make him a jackass? No, just a bit uninformed. Why not just inform the seller that his asking price is a bit off? The last CA red nana head (dubious in my opinion) went for $800. There are two '87s right now languising at $1500 and they'll probably turn to dust before anyone buys them.

Which brings another point. People do this (on eBay too) to get their listing to show up first when sorting by price high-to-low. Fishing for offers.
