I really enjoy them sometimes.
Sometimes these moments are too bizarre.
I just got done seeing a show with my wife. It was Henry Rollins. He is touring. The show is a photo documentary based on his life touring the world.
It was very interesting. A good show.
We left taking the back streets home. It is 11:20 P.M. at night.
We were about 3 miles from the venue. We are driving through a residential area at 25 MPH.
Some dude in a giant red cape jumps out in the road, like Spawn, waving his red cape around, in front of my truck, like a FNG matador flagging down a bull.
WTF???
The planet is getting crazy.
It was worth a laugh, but dang I am glad the second amendment was under my truck seat.
Weird can turn in to crazy in a split second.

It's the "be whatever you want to be" mentality. He wants to be a superhero, like his parents always tol him he was growing up. I bet he has participation trophies on his dresser.

I about got shot by the manager of the garage I used to work for on Halloween day. Apparently he was not familiar with Buckethead and because I did not speak (in character), he said in the first few moments when I walked in he seriously considered whether or not to draw his concealed.

I know he is doing a lot more than the crazy stuff that made him popular in the eighties. Poetry, writing, filming, and so on.

But the one thing that always comes first to me when I hear his name is the "Henry Rollins wrings out his socks after a show and drinks his sweat" stuff - the guy could heal cancer and win the Nobel prize, he would still pop up with this image in my head :roll .
