In order to do that math then everyone would have to agree.

Rules as posted.....

In order to encourage participation from more members, you will receive an additional chance for ONE part only. The part of the greatest value will be used to determine the additional entry amount

*To be clear:

A donation of a set of strings = 1 chance.

A donation of a set of strings, a strap, and a truss rod cover would = 1 chance.

A donation of a set of strings, a strap and a KRAMER CASE would = 4 chances.

A donation of a set of Body, Neck, and a KRAMER CASE would = 4 chances.

Of course when I typed that up I had no idea someone would essentially donate 25% of the guitar.

I will leave it up to the peanut gallery..

What say you guys? Waive the max chance rule??

I don't want special treatment. Or more chances than anyone else.
I did not understand the math that is all. My fault for not reading the instructions correctly.
Whatever the amount it is OK with me.
I will still donate the nut. No big deal.
In the end I just want someone to enjoy the heck out of this guitar.
I am good.
It would be cool to win, I would like it.
BUT.
I have enough guitars. I hope someone else will win it.

So long as YOU are OK with it then I would rather stick to the original posting.

Simply explained.......people such as yourself who come here and participate every day (more than 100 posts) have a chance to win this giveaway and they do not have to do anything (except cover the shipping worst case) more than be a member.

The other incentives are to try and get some premium parts to build the thing with. Otherwise we will be giving away a ZX10...

Of course a ZX10 MUTT would probably be better than factory.... dielaughing

Original rules are ok with me.

I have a lot on my plate as far as projects go. So I really must prioritize my to do list.
The fact is this. I have my whole garage debacle to deal with.
The moment my lawsuit is finalized. I have to get my a$$ in gear and build the garage. I am running out of time for that.
I have Hot Rod things I do in the summer.
I love my classic cars and have shown them very little love this past year. There are many events I attend every year.
I have many guitar builds, and a very cool amp head build on my to do list.

It may be a long time before I am able to restore this guitar.

It seems a much cooler fate to donate it. Than have it sit and collect dust.

Besides. I like the people on this forum. I learn a lot. It is cool to share in this hobby.
So why not.
Heck. With any luck. It could come back to me way better than it left.
I didn't buy into the last drawing because I felt someone who really likes the Floyd Rose model guitar should get it.
I personally don't dig those that much.
So now is my time to contribute to this kool forum.

Part of me wants to see it retored.
Part of me thinks it would be cool for a holo flash with matching holo flash headstock. You never saw that on an 84.
Whatever the direction this build goes. It will be a damn nice guitar I am sure.
The neck is awesome. It is like a slightly smaller C shape. Close to a PRS wide thin.
Not as thin as a Ibanez. Not as thick as a Fender 60's C. Just right in the middle.
I can't wait to see how it is finished.

If you have pledged a part- go ahead and ship it.......

We did Holo last year so I am not a fan of that, but it is too early to make any firm decisions at this point...

And again.....thanks Joe!

I think seeing as how we have original '84 parts it should be finished in an original '84 colour :thumbs

You could make it look original like my 84/85 Baretta.
Except I installed a Duncan 78 custom in this one, and this has the later logo, and model on the truss cover.
