Cool interview if you have 9 minutes to spare.
I've watched a few interviews with John 5 and he always seems a class act. He's playing a small club here in April, all ages, wife and I are thinking about taking our 10-year-old for his first real show.

Thanks for sharing :thumbs
He's an incredible guitare player able to make so many crazy sounds jumpin' out of its tele. A cool guy as well for sure. Do not forget the ears plugs for the kid: the man plays loud.

I really don't know a lot about him. He is a great player, from the Detroit area.

I do know this. His old guitar teacher is a friend of mine. You should hear, and see his teacher play.

There is a funny vid where him, Kirk Hammett and High on Fire are on stage in a 3-way "dueling banjos" sort of lick trading. It continues to get faster and weirder, and at one point John 5 does something so unexpected that Hammett just stops, looks at him like WFT was THAT, and then Hammett just gives up.
He is incredibly versatile, probably among the most versatile players out there. Check out "Noche Acosador" and "Behind the Nut Love" for some different sounds. Honestly, I had heard of this dude but hadn't fully paid attention until Menace mentioned him in a post, and that caused me to really start checking out his stuff.
