Very cool photos! Before all the projection screens, backing tracks, and the sea of phones.

they outlawed general admission here after three people gott trampled at a Who concert in Cincinnati.
I remember getting front row for some of the 5150 concert in 1986 in Detroit at Joe Louis. General admission Main floor no seats. That lasted about 5 songs and I was done. You just got fng crushed up against these metal barriers. It was just waves of people shoving you into the metal gates every few seconds. I saw several girls just give up, pass out, and get hauled off.
It was brutal.
After that. I really didn't like being too close to any stage, still don't.
It is even harder now because my wife is short and she can't see shit in a crowd.

I think BTO was the opener and they got BOO"D their whole set.

Who's great idea was that? They were singing Taking care of business and the audience was screaming FU. LOL

I saw that same Van Halen show, also outside, Silver Stadium in Rochester, NY. They had beer trucks lined up against both baselines. :toast

It did get pretty crazy but we toughed it out. I was wondering how people were not leaving and hitting the head and a few minutes later I saw the guy standing in front of me pissing on the pant leg of the guy standing in front of him. dielaughing We rotated single file in the crowd after that. :roll
Get it back to good.

OK blast from the past. Unfortunately I never saw Van Halen... :bang
I did get to see Van Hagar, And DLR solo and some points later on. i'm sure it sucks in comparison.
Never saw Ozzy with Jake. Or more importantly randy... :bang
Sorpions? Well on this tour I was there. (sort of). I remember getting sick and later climbing on their speaker cabinets,
Putting my ear against them and blowing out my right ear. shrug
B.O.C. --- Now this one I remember. Fire of unknown origin tour.
Which was lucky. Because it's one of their only 2 good albums.
Mirrors is the other and I was too young to see that.
If you remember the 80's--- you weren't there! :roll
