Two clear coats applied, with light wet sanding (1500 & 2000 grit) in between. Four more coats (and sanding) to go before she is officially ready for polishing.

I installed the bridge and tail bar bushings after the 1st clear coat to avoid closing up the holes with too much build up.

I hope to have her assembled by the end of next weekend.

I'll make the cavity cover this week from a blank of gloss black pick guard material I bought off Ebay.

After a thorough wet sanding with 1500 and 2000 grit paper, I polished her all up using the Stewmac 4 step polishing compound set:

It was January 27th that I glued up the wood blanks and started working on this project. So it took about two and a half months to go from this:
