Yeah, but you can't switch that wood block between floating, dive-only or fully blocked on the fly... also it does not do what the black box does, that can either block or just stabilize the neutral position.

Just grab another axe. dielaughing
I find the whole concept silly.
Why de-Floyd a Floyd'd axe? Get yourself a hard tailed guitar.

Well I'm a dive-only guy too, but I know some people who actually use all three modes like for alt tunings or different styles in top40 bands and such.

Because the Tremol-no enhances the versatility of a Floyded guitar. Simple as that shrug .

So what you're saying is that all I need is one guitar with a tremel-no?

Never needed the tremol-no, bit I never took more than one axe to a live gig, especially if it's in some small bar or such :)

Nope.

One might want to use a trem and play double-stops without the need to change guitars during a set. Might be it is your go-to axe or your most coveted workhorse or your only instrument shrug .

Don't need no stinking tremel-no for double stops.

As long as you don't bend 'em your right. Same for unison bends. Both pretty hard to make sound good with a floating bridge shrug .

But even then you never need a tremol-no for anything and can always use a self made penny-solution from home depot like I do too.
