And maybe three - one with a Floyd.

Almost what I've got. '72 rosewood, '99 maple and a Kramer Pacer Deluxe!

It already arrived, less than 48h from UK - never had that before.

Anyway, HOLY FWCK... this may be the sweetest sounding Deluxe I ever had. Sings and screams and cries and moans, does it all. The tone is unbelievable, as is the neck. Totally effortless to play, pure joy. Just what I wanted and identical to the one I had ten years ago, with my favorite "Thin C" neck shape which is very much like nanner Pacers :thumbs

The neck was tilted sideways, looks like the guy literally rocked it a bit too hard. Fortunately that was corrected within seconds, after slightly releasing the mounting screws, the strings pulled it back into the right position on their own.

The frets are quite worn up to the 9th fret or so, but no buzz and great action regardless. Still I'll refret it in the spring, I want that "like new" feel again.

This was my deal of the year for sure, very happy :toast

Very nice, the neck looks great... beautiful inlays, and I’m sure it looks way better in real life. :headbang :thumbs

Ahh eff it, I just finished inserting the new frets. The rest tomorrow.

I was lucky and got the frets out with no chipping and even no need for sanding (+refinish), so I just popped out the old frets and went for it. Curing overnight, we'll see how it turns out.

Done! Plays like a dream and sounds awesome. Just needs a new set of pickups, I hope I'll hear from the Kinman guy soon.

What glue do you use to set the frets?

Just a bit of wood glue, basically as a filler. I don't like gluing the frets firmly, produces lots of chipping when they need to be removed again. If the slots are a bit widened, I'll zig-zag the tang slightly with pliers so it fits tightly.
