Doc's spring cleaning round 3:
Up for grabs is a somewhat rare Flip Flop red PC1 body. As I have learned on this forum, the more common flip-flop colors are pink and blue, whereas the rarer ones are red and white. This is red, not pink. It's a sort of pale brick red in normal light almost leaning toward blood orange, then it flips to pink and a bit of purple in the light. It is structurally very solid with no cracks anywhere that I can see including no finish cracks at the neck pocket and Floyd post holes look solid. The guitar was played and has been banged around a bit, so there are plenty of mild scrapes, chips, small bruises and other beauty marks, but nothing huge. All of it could be brought back with some TLC. I was going to refinish this with touch up paint, spot fill the clear and then polish it all back out, just hadn't gotten around to it yet. There is an art store nearby that has this exact match paint for about $8 for a small bottle.

I have included photos of all the finish blemishes so you can see it all. When taking these photos, I adjust lighting and camera angle to maximize appearance of the blemish, so in reality they may be less noticeable. Note in the first photo, that is only a reflection that extends upward from the humbucker route at about an 11:00 angle - it is not a finish blem - it's actually a large crack in my kitchen skylight that is reflected onto the guitar.

I would like to get $140 for it plus shipping. If you need the proper neck plate, I can work that in for another $40 but only if you buy the body - not selling neck plate alone. I'll go buy the touch up paint if you want and will send that along as well.

Please ask any questions, thanks! Happy to send more pics if you want.

Should be this one according to the forum:

IMO it's not quite correct, since I can't remember that it had an on/off/on switch anywhere. Should be the simpler version with four identical on/on switches IIRC. I think this one had hum splitting added.

As for the wood, those were usually poplar.

Yes, the wood has the appearance of poplar and also the weight feels consistent with that. I can weigh it and report back if you are interested.

As far as the wiring harness, I do have it intact (by appearance), but I am not certain it works, as the guitar was not playable when I got it. The guitar had been dropped and it appears that somehow the Floyd and the volume control took the brunt of the impact, as the Floyd arm collar and high E saddle both were cracked and the volume knob also was broken. I actually considered this fortunate as the guitar body itself shows no major damage consistent with a drop, and the neck is fine.

I would not feel right about selling the harness as I cannot guarantee it works. I was thinking I probably would test the switches and reuse them if they work, probably throw out the pot.

Lemme think on it man. I want to be helpful, but I'm struggling with what would be a fair price/value for an electronic array that might or might not work. If I knew it all worked, I could set a value, and if I knew it didn't work, again I could set a value. But in this case, I don't know, and that makes it something of a gamble, which is not the way I like to do business. Plus I do need switches for other projects, so if I let this go I'm just gonna need to turn around and spend $50 on four new switches, and that assumes that all four of these are working properly.

Let me dig it out and take a look at it, see if I can conclude anything about functionality, and I'll post back here about it in a day or two. I do need lefty Floyd stuff, either intact or parts, if you have any of that, and Floyd Special parts would be fine, also need lefty tuners.

Why wait for a complete harness? Period correctness? If it´s the wiring/soldering someone here might send you a few shots of their PC´s electronic compartment.
