After being wrong on the JK discussion last week- I am going to stay out of the Japan discussions and stick to what I know better...... :nono

I have an 83 Sports body/ Sports neck Pacer Special that a former Kramer Employee just drools over. It's serial number is a little later than this one and it has the elongated cavity. This is one I can document as not being a mutt......

That said, all of my B serial number Imps have the kidney cover.

Seeing that this guitar has a 3 digit C plate serial number it could be late 83 for sure.

The only thing I have a beef with is the strap pins. That early on I am pretty sure they would have used the oversized round head pins and not the Schaller. -BUT- Those things are/were a PITA to use if you wanted to take the strap on and off- so if it were a player guitar (and this one is) then it could easily been swapped for convenience...

I find it funny that the JK last week for $450 was cool WITHOUT a OFR and yet this American with real OFR is still for sale at $500. :whistle

Bryan must be on vacation for Christmas...... :roll dielaughing :roll

I can't even rustle up tire kickers on my CAR Pacer Deluxe at $500. Must be the R5 neck.

...and FWIW, it has taken every ounce of will-power in recent weeks not to pop on 2112's Deluxe at such a fantastic price, and the only thing that helped me hold the line on that one was the fact that I already have numerous F3000s and Pacer Deluxes either playable or in the project queue, plus the true fact that I really am overloaded in red guitars.

But I don't have a nice Imp in any color, and that girl seduced me like a g-damn Jessica Rabbit!
