No idea, but he does not play black metal... just borrowed the quote from Hangar18 since it fits well.

The combination of "christian" and "black metal" is the ridiculous part. Black Metal is satanist per definition, see Dimmu Borgir etc. or even vintage stuff like Venom, Celtic Frost...

Classical oxymoron.

But: While many of the Norwegian TRUE Black Metalheads are mostly poking fun out of their "somber" lyrics the Christian variety is known to exactly not do this which makes this whole kinda style sorta whacky :roll

I agree that there definitely seems to be a conflict in the term "Christian Black Metal", but I don't subscribe to the idea that any one side, religious, pagan or atheist owns a particular style or genre. I don't believe that music itself (instrumental sounds combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion) can be inherently evil or inherently good. Music is simply an arrangement of sounds in a repetitious pattern that is (relative to the listeners preference) pleasant to the ear. It does not contain any ethical or moral value until lyrics are added and this then gives the song its message - be it worship Satan, f*ck your dog, or Jesus loves you. Music is merely the medium to carry your message to the masses.
