Just don't spend more money on pups then on guitars ;)

If I sold all my spare pups, I could buy a nice minty Imp...

Looking forward to your review.

I didn’t buy the Titans, just played a guitar equipped with them. Honestly this is only my second pickup purchase ever. I usually just leave pickups as they are, or sometimes have swapped between guitars I own. Most of my swaps have been passive vs. active.
I got a great deal on eBay for the BWs. They should be here Friday!

Just did an eBay search and found a cheap pair of new in box Black Winters and made the purchase. Will post back results in a few weeks once these are delivered and installed. I’m excited. I haven’t tried any of the new Duncan metal pickups that have been released in the last few years.

I have Black Winters in a Floyded Les Paul. Very articulate pickup. One of my all time favorites. I have a Nazgul/Sentient pair in a Jackson 7 string. They sound like a chainsaw (not good), if the amp isn’t EQ’d right.

Thanks man, I’m glad to hear bc my BWs will be arriving today! I didn’t like what I heard of the Nazgul. I do like the sound of the Pegasus though.

I had the Black Winter in a scoop Baretta. They are marketed like a badass, evil pickup which may turn off some players but for no reason---it's not harsh at all; it's actually a very articulate and toneful pickup. It is high output, but there's no too much of anything here really---just another good option from SD which brings a little something different to the table.

Again great to hear. From the demos of the neck pickup they seem great too, I ordered the set. My wife said it’s at the house already!
