I just received these in the mail this morning and they have made a hell of a first impression. $99 from Amazon and I can't imagine any headphones sound better. The highs and mids are clear as a bell and you can hear things that you don't with other headphones. With other phones I had, the music just sounded too "together". With these, you can hear each individual instrument clear as day.

This is my first pair of high-end cans so maybe my ears are a bit biased towards the "anything is better than what I had" point of view, but I don't think so. I run them through a PreSonus Audiobox USB and just use that for music and my amp sim.

Only one con that I can see: the bass is just a hair too weak for my taste. It's clear and doesn't really hurt the sound, but it could be better. I still wouldn't trade them off.

That's my first review of anything, hope it was clear and helped somebody searching for a good set of phones.

I also use Sennheiser, actually because of the lack of that boomy, unnatural bass. I like natural sound.

Yeah I don't like boomy bass either. I showed a friend that wanted some headphones these and he said he's rather get something better, like Beats. Fucking BEATS. I'd like to BEATS him.

These are definitely studio monitoring headphones, the sound is so clear and natural. I'd much rather the bass be subdued than have unnatural or bass added for color.

A sentence like that ... wins every argument ever since we started walking on two feet.
